Around Zoujouji Temple Tokyo

Was out today, practising with my new (^-^) Canon PowerShot G10. Walked from Azabu Juuban to Zoujouji Temple, while waiting for Full Metal Alchemist to start. Enjoy the amateurish unprocessed pics.

Life is moving on, currently back in Japan. Spent my college days in Ezo (Hokkaido), and now working in Edo (Tokyo). Looking forward for new friends and experience.

Still learning the camera. Mostly taking close shots and scenery. Am not very good at portraits/life pics. For macro, other than extremely short distance (less than 50mm) you can have good results with the correct lighting, since you can have the near-DSLR flexibility of settings. Daylight scenes are also quite good even with the auto. Night scenes, you have to get the right aperture and this thing lets you have it your way. But near-dark is a no-no. Haven’t try long exposures yet though.

The interface and controls are about the same as any Canon DSLR, if you are familiar with it.

Lumix LX3 is also a simpler and slimmer alternative. It has better macro results.
